How much does Beacon weigh?
Each Beacon weighs just 7 grams, keeping the device as lightweight as possible without sacrificing quality or volume
Does Beacon affect my disc flight?
Beacon is lightweight and aerodynamically balanced, designed to minimize any impact on disc flight. Most players do not notice any change to their disc flight.
How do I attach the tracker to my disc?
Installing the Beacon Disc Golf Tracker takes less than a minute, just follow these three easy steps:
Step 1: Clean your disc with the included alcohol wipe.
Step 2: Attach the adhesive tape to the center of your disc using the guide hole in the tape for precise placement.
Step 3: Press on your Beacon disc golf tracker, and hold for ten seconds
For the best bond, allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before play.
Can Beacon attach to any disc?
Yes! Beacon is compatible with all disc types, plastics, and brands. You choose your disc, we help you find it fast.
How loud is the Beacon Tracker?
The Beacon emits a loud alert you can hear from up to 100 feet away, even in windy or wooded conditions. It’s specifically engineered to be extra-loud for outdoor disc golf courses.
Does Beacon connect to my phone?
No smartphone required! Beacon is a standalone device, just turn it on and throw. No pairing, no app, just pure simplicity and reliability when you need it most.
How long does the battery last?
Beacon’s replaceable CR2016 battery lasts up to 100 rounds of play. It is easily replaced by removing the two Phillips head screws. No need to remove Beacon from your disc.
How do I change the setting of the sound?
Beacon includes 4 unique sound options so you can choose the tone that works best for you.
To access Settings mode, press and hold the button for 1 second. Your Beacon will signal it is in settings mode, then repeat the current setting every 2 seconds. Click the button to adjust the setting. Press and hold for 1 second to save the setting.
Is Beacon waterproof?
Beacon is water-resistant, not waterproof. If your Beacon ends up in the water, keep using your Beacon as normal to dry it off. Each throw will help dry the unit faster. You may need to replace the battery once fully dry if the unit does not turn back on.
Is Beacon PDGA legal for tournament play?
Beacon discs are not PDGA-approved, since the PDGA does not allow any modifications to a disc — even something as small as a sticker. However, Beacon discs are legal for certain types of events when the tournament director declares night and snow play for the event.
